We share fridges but don't collaborate on meal plans and prep.

The slate resides in the shared space of the kitchen, to allow the meal planning process to be more collaborative. User profiles are set up to allow each member of a household to suggest changes to the schedule.

The Planning Slate

The slate is designed to sit on a countertop dock, or be magnetically mounted to a fridge door. Users may view their meal plans for the week at a glance, write on a digital shopping list, and follow along with recipes.

Colorful Packaging, Discrete Device

This dichotomy keeps the excitement and brightness of food, while remaining unobtrusive and adaptable in any home style.

E-Ink

An e-ink display provides a dull, unobtrusive finish, that aligns with the requirements of an ambient device to blend into the background. Therefore, the interface of the planning slate needed to stay be black and white, and not rely on motion for any interaction, like scrolling.
